what is Seekrs?
the home for UK hiking communities. browse hikes, book a spot, or follow a group that hikes your way.
do I need an account?
you can browse hikes and groups without signing in. you need a free account to book or follow a community.
is Seekrs free?
joining Seekrs and booking free hikes costs nothing. paid hikes have a ticket price set by the organiser (minimum £5) plus a tiered Seekrs booking fee (£1 per £20 ticket bracket). the full total is shown before you pay.
how do paid hikes work?
you pay by card through Stripe Checkout. the charge appears as Seekrs on your statement. ticket money goes to the organiser; Seekrs keeps the booking fee shown at checkout. after payment you get a ticket on your dashboard with a check-in QR code.
how do I book a hike?
open the hike page, sign in if needed, and tap to book. free hikes confirm instantly. paid hikes take you to secure checkout — your spot is held for 30 minutes while you pay. you will see the hike on your dashboard with the date, meetup point, and what to bring.
what if a hike is full?
the hike page shows when it is fully booked. check back if someone cancels, or browse other hikes from the same group.
how do cancellations and refunds work?
cancel from your dashboard or the hike page when the hike allows it — many hikes close cancellations a set time before start. if you cancel a paid booking, we refund your ticket price only; the Seekrs booking fee is not refunded. if the organiser cancels the hike, you receive a full refund including the booking fee. refunds go to your original card and usually take 5–10 business days. see your ticket page for refund details.
where can I see my refund status?
after you cancel a paid booking, open the hike ticket from your dashboard under cancelled & refunds. it shows the refund amount, what was kept (if anything), and when the refund was initiated. your bank statement is the final confirmation when money arrives.
